[Shotimes] ATX Questions (Time for my 4th tranny?)

The 3/36 was what my dealer quoted me. I believe on the motorcraft website
it emphasized the 3/36 warranty also. The dealer said $2500 installed, I
don't know how they distributed the parts/labor.

Actually, here's good news. She's driving FINE right now! I'm not getting
my hopes up but for the moment everything seems well. I'll be going on
another long trip in a couple weeks, 250 miles 1 way. I'm taking the SHO,
we'll see how it holds up this time. I don't know what to think.

Last week I pulled the codes and got, IIRC a 648, wrong ratio in 3rd gear.
Any ideas what conditions have to be present for this code to set?

Thanks
Jack

Jack:
What kind of price are getting for the Motorcraft unit? They are usually
$1500-$1800? A you know this is what Doug L. uses as a base? Last time I
checked the Mototcraft unit had a 12 month/12K miles warranty from Ford. Is
the 3 years from the dealer or shop?
