You could try slotting it first with a dremel then extract with
screwdriver
 
or
 
See if you can get a 1/4" (~6.5 mm) Allen key (elbow removed) and tap it
in carefully then a 6 point socket

I am doing a timing belt and diesel injection pump change on my '00 Golf
TDI and stripped one or the 4 bolt heads on the harmonic balancer. It is
a hex head where a 6 mm allan wrench fits inside. There isn't a whole
bunch of clearance around it.

Any suggestions?
