I'd say it doesn't really sound like a dying CPS. Wrong symptoms.
They usually die completely, engine is completely dead, not even a tach
signal, and won't run for some time until it "cools down" and resets.It only
sets a code while it is dead and won't start.It gets erased when it's
running.
Sounds more like fuel pump, especially since it is throttle sensitive.
That's when the fuel pressure must increase suddenly. Could be pump,
regulator, or filter. I'd look at those first. Sounds like fuel pumps go
anywhere betwenn 80k and 160k.
