The one time I've gotten warranty service, I had two for the front of a mid '90s
Escort leak and lose their oil.  I had to have the original receipt, and the two
struts had to be sent back to the dealer where I got them.  I did get two new ones,
but it took several weeks.  The car sat while they were out.  If it's been a while,
I'd bet you will have trouble.
