Absolutely replace the fluid in the trans.  i generally do this every
couple years anyway, it's not really hard at all.  About the same as
changing your oil.

The trans take ATF.  Everyone has an opinion on this, and some will
probably recommend red line gear oil, but simple cheap ATF is what it
is designed for.  A cheap, but better couce would be to grab a couple
quarts of Valvoline syn Blend ATF.  I have used it for several years
in mine, and the shifting seems pretty good.

If they didn't change the fluid, I would be upset with the shop, I
thought this was a no-brainer with clutch jobs.  There is no filter
for the trans.  It takes around 2 quarts.
