[Shotimes] convention: LaQuinta or Marriot?

IMHO, as long as the "other" hotel is in walking distance, it's fine
(thinking of the Red`Roof across the parking lot from the Holiday Inn in
Ohio in '98). I find the host hotel to be the most fun, if you can swing it.
I stayed somewhere else for my 1st Convention in Dallas in '94, and I regret
it, although I was unemployed and broke at the time.

So is anyone staying at the cheaper LaQuinta hotel for
the convention? I don't know if I can attend yet but I
am thinking of reserving a room. I'm definetly budget
minded at the moment so I am thinking of the
LaQuinta. I don't want to be the only one that parts
company for the night and wanders off to "that other
hotel" while all of the cool kids stay at the Marriot.
...although I am a big guy and I can handle it..

So Don, what is this large group that will also be
there? Chevy El Camino forum (throw down in the
parking lot!), Playboy bunny model shoot, Beer Tasters
Association etc?

:)
