I don't remember for sure on the 3.0 OHV engine, but the 3.8 is a serpentine belt,
and on my Slorider wagon I have lost two tensioners since it was new.  The spring
breaks, and it just hangs loose.  The first one was under warranty, but the second
was just a couple of years ago.  They should be still available at the dealer. 
Aftermarket should have them, too.
