[Shotimes] Purge Canister was....Running Rich

The crank position sensor tells the PCM what position
the crank is in.
I thought that brass thing you speak of was the purge
canister. I replaced mine last year when the plastic T
fitting broke. I think it's about $15 at NAPA. It may
not hurt to get a new one if you feel that yours might
be bad.
