[Shotimes] Anti Theft Alarm 1996 SHO--Possible To Disable?

Hey Y'all:I am third owner of a loaded red 1996 SHO. Original owner was one of
the managers in my office. He sold it to a co-worker's husband 4 years ago. I
bought it from him in Sept. 2005. Officially The Wife's Car, but it is my
weekend toy. It has been very well maintained and I have every reciept since
day one.
Last weekend we developed a problem with the alarm. It  arms itself about 2
minutes after the doors are shut....even though doors are left in the unlock
position.  If we open the door when unlocked, the alarm activates. Workaround
has been to lock and unlock before entering, but that is a pain. I do not see
any fuse denoting the alarm. Is there some way to deactive the alarm? Car is
garaged all the time so not a big deal to deactivate.
