Well, since I've pretty much only advertised this list to folks on team.net,
I'm not surprised most, if not all, subscribers have some sort of automotive
passion as well.

While at the liquor store[1] the other day I picked up a bottle of
Bowmore Legend, about $20.  It is a younger, milder version of the real
stuff, and I figured it might be nice for the upcoming gathering I'm
planning.  It is still pretty tasty and has a reasonably nice body,
not as wimpy as I was afraid it might be.  I'm sure that one or two of
the folks I'll have over will be newcomers to single malts, as the scotch
is just a small aside to the evening.  I can imagine the looks they might
give me if their first taste was something up near the high end of the
smoky, peaty scale - they'd glare at me wondering why I threw some burning
dirt in their mouths!

1.  Here in Utah, the liquor stores are run by the state government, under
the control of a group of mostly non-drinkers.  Things get odd sometimes.
