[Spridgets] Question about mating the transmission to the engine

The splines are probably just not exactly lined up.  I always have to slightly use the bolts to pull the two together when I put a new clutch in.  Also the two pieces may not exactly be in the same plane.  Look at the gap all around to see if it is the same distance.

They should go together fairly easily.  If you're against a hard stop something is amiss.  I wouldn't force it.  Pull the trans back off and see what's going on.  There are different pilot bushes, but the ID should be the same on all of them.
