I think they all have the glass bowl and primer lever, although my Alpine
parts book shows a different number for later Series V.

According to a local former Alpine owner, Jim Leach, the main difference
should be the fuel outlet. The early ones have threaded fittings for the
fuel line, the Series V's have a press-on type line fitting, which was part
of the casting.

Since the rebuild kits are all the same, you might be able to match the body
of the Series V pump with the top (with correct fitting) of your early pump.

Pump part #'s:

Series I-IV 1046803
Series V (up to 395014598) 1235900
Series V (from 395014599) 1238591
