Door trim, etc.

On putting my car back together, I am having trouble with a couple spots
and wonder if anyone has had any success in these areas:

1. The rubber/felt trim from Sunbeam Specialties that goes down the rear
edge of the windshield frame, around the side of the dash, and then down
the front of the door opening, keeps pulling up at the spot where the
frame meets the side of the dash. Rick thought that there should be pop
rivets there to hold it, but I do not have any holes there from before.
Someone else thought that there was a small clip that went there which
gave extra bite for the trim to hold on to -- this may be true, but I do
not remember it being there when I took the car apart all those years
ago. Any thoughts?

2. The chrome door latch on the rear of one of the door frames (not the
part on the door) with two counter sunk bolts, will not stay tight. After
a week or so, it slides out a little, stopping the door from staying flush
when closed. There are no lock washers in there -- although I don't think
I've seen them on any other car. I thought I might need to get new bolts
with cleaner slots than the worn out ones I have. I also though I might
slightly lubricate the edges of the heads (I saw an e-mail from some guy
with wire wheels on a MG who said such lubrication was necessary where the
edge of the wire wheel hit the hub to allow the metal surfaces to slide
enough to get fully tightened). Any thoughts?
