First we should make sure we are talking the same model carb. The one I
have always seen used is the Weber DGV, usually the progressive 32/36
type. This carb, or so I have been told, is the one used in Formula Ford
racing and has been for some time. This would tell me that it is a
decent carb, but just because something is used for racing does not mean
that it is good or even works well.
This I did hear about Weber. From what was said, they are screwing
people over, from emploies to there loyal customers. They are
discontinuing models and not paying there bills. Now this is just what I
have heard, through the grape vine some would say. If this is true it
makes me sad, such a legend seemingly just giving up in the hard world of
smog control, a sign of the times maybe.
