*** A few years ago, I restored a motorcycle that I found next to my
neighbor's house. One piston was solidly stuck in its cylinder. I tried
WD-40, Marvel Mystery oil, ATF, and everything else I could think of.
Nothing helped, and I finally bashed the piston out with a hammer and a
piece of wood. It turned out that the rings had corroded themselves into
the cylinder.
Luckily, the cylinders were individually replaceable. I replaced both
ring and cylinder ( ouch!$$$$$ ).
