FYI - Sunbeam Specialities loaned me a puller when I bought a set of new
rear-end seals and gaskets from them. I picked up the postage (~$25 for the
California/Texas round trip) and agreed to let them charge my credit card
account a couple hundred dollars if I didn't return it in a reasonable amount
of time. It worked well, though I did have to use a sledge hammer to knock
them loose.

I don't know if this is a normal service or I just happened to call at a time
when they didn't need it themselves. However, since it is most likely a safer
solution (in terms of possible damage to the rear-end) than using a standard
puller and a bit cheaper than buying one, I thought it might help to know
about this possibility.
