David,

All I can say is that it worked fine for my very late Series V. Maybe
the steering box is mounted lower. Like I said, the carbs cleared fine.
It was the aircleaner that I had a problem with.

"One other thing . . .
Wally Smith lives in Beltsville, Maryland.
His phone # is (310) 937-3812."

I don't know of him. Let me know what he says.

"Tom Calvert, Jay, have you talked to, or heard of this guy? If not, I
think I will give him a call."

I have seen Tom's comments on the group before. I do not recall if it
was on the Tiger or Alpine group.

"Oh yeah, one other thing I found while cruising through the archive was a
note from you back in Sept. '95 saying that your manifold was off a manifold
by Derrington, imported through Cananda in the 60's and 70's. Is that where
TWM got their design? Has anybody heard of Derrington and are they still
in operation?"

Derrington is no longer in operation. TWM bought their tooling from
Derrington. I do not believe anyone else has TWM toolings. So, yes the
TWM manifold is the Derrington manifold. Though I have heard that there
were more than one Derrington manifold from Dan Walters.

Get any more info on the exhaust manifold?
