Front sway bars

I am searching for an economical "preferably used" front anti-sway bar
for an alpine. I desire a 7/8 inch model. I have contacted ADDCO for the
price of a new one and they want $10 more than Vic "overpriced" British.
This is interesting as ADDCO is Vics supplier.
Also, can any one tell me why late alpines and tigers have allegedly the
same lower control arms, but the sway bars are NOT the same "I know because
I tried".
