Welcome, Sorry, we have the vast majority of you Sunbeams. From what I know the majority of post-war British sportis cars went to the U.S. I believe that this is do to the economic situation after WW II. England was very cash poor while the U.S. was going through a massive boom and was cash rich. Many of these cars were designed to appeal to American tastes, especially the Alpine. It looks just like a little Thunderbird. This mailing list is international and I am sure I speak for everyone here when I say that we welcome any one with a love of Alpines. I personally like to here from people in the U.K. they can be a great resource. Kurt Eckert 1963 Sunbeam Alpine Series III GT Serial Number B9200934

I have only been on this e-mail list for about 2 weeks, so please excuse my ignorance, but 98% of all e-mail generated on it appears to be from the U.S.A. This suprises me since the cars in question are British. What % of Alpines were exported to America? (I know that Tiger Mk IIs were ONLY for the U.S.A.) It is very seldom that you see an American car on British Roads (then again I can't remember when I last saw an Alpine here either!) Is this mailing list international or is there a European version?
