The reasson the flasher often doesnt work when there is a bad ground "front
or rear" is that the thermal flasher unit requires a specific load to
operate properly.
Too small a load "smaller or dimmer bulbs or bad grounds" and the flasher is
very slow or doesnt falsh at all.
Too great a load "bright bulbs" and the flasher is very fast or burns open.
