Too late. I just purchased both - sight unseen - for $800. I will pick
them up this weekend. The IV reportedly has a good body and interior,
but has not run for 15 or so years. The V has been hit, in the front
fender. The engine has hairline cracks, but it has an OD tranny. The
cars were listed in the Atlanta Journal/Constitution and are located
in Auburn, Alabama. I'll take my rebel flag just in case I get
stranded somewhere. The IV is for my brother who lives in Henderson,
NC and the V is a project for my dad. I am still searching for another
III.
Next week, I will give you an update about the cars.
Also, I recently purchased several Series V transmissions from Gary
Schotland, who BTW did a great job packaging and shipping them to me,
and noticed that one of them had the switch for a backup light. In my
box of Alpine stuff, I have the bases for two backup lights. Both are
missing the lenses and one does not have the lens retainer plate. I
would like to install these. Can anyone give some advice about where
to find parts for these?

Hey! Ia'm also looking for a series IV or V. If you decide not to buy
both, let me know who has them, where they are, and what shape they are
in. Thanks..
Rich
