Alpine Numbers

Help. I am trying to identify the ID numbers for a friend of mine.
They are:

B9204462 LRX - I understand that this is a Series 3 Alpine with a 1592
cc eninge made between Mar 63 and Jan 64 with the starting #'s at
B920001, and with 5,863 made.

I understand that the B9204462 LRX should appear on the engine block in
front of the oil filter.

The ID tag also has 39 (Color Carnival Red) and SB which I don't know
what it means.

Also on a seperate tag is SAL 027837. What does SAL stand for and does
this number match with the B9204462 number?
