I just spoke to someone else about this racing Alpine who actually knows
the car. It is not a factory racing Alpine and does not have aluminum
panels. He also mentioned that a few years back one of the real factory
racing Alpines that raced at Sebring and had been raced by Ken Miles was
for sale and could not fetch the $10,000 asking price, and sold for
$9,000 to someone in Connecticut.
So now you know.
