If the motor is full of oil, and the bearings keep on snuffing, suspect the
oil pressure relief valve. Many of these buggers stick spontaniously, and
will kill your motor real quick. The newest model relief valve should be
used to prevent this from happening, but in order to purchase is you must
also buy the latest model oil filter adapter(sunbeam Specialties).

I have had a near engine failure because of the relief valve in the past.
 When I lost oil pressure on an autocross course, I had to pull the car in,
and keep the engine revving just to keep a few PSI. Later removal showed a
burr on the relief piston, made the valve stick wide open.

Personally, I have modified my "later style" relief valve to make it
adjustable.
I now make 75-80 PSI at any RPM above 2000, and since I really rev the !(at)^$
out of my motor, I think having all that oil running past is a safe bet.
