        All of the above. Anytime you have front end noises in a 30 year old
LBC, it needs to be checked out. It can be any of the items you
mentioned or ALL of them. Jack the car up and set it down on jack
stands resting on the bottom of the lower A-arm Do this to both sides.
 This will remove the load from ALL of the joints except for the lower
fulcrum pin (depending on the placement of the jack stands). Now grab
each part and shake it, being careful no to knock the car off the
stands. Some of us Burly types can knock'em off pretty easy. Work the
steering back and forth, and try to rock the tires top to bottom. If
something is loose, this is a good way to locate it.
