Alpine Cylinder Head Corrosion

Hello from Glasgow in Scotland.

I've got three alpine heads sitting in store (2,IV and V), and they've all
got corrosion on the small circular aperture in centre between chambers 2
and 3. I've heard that these heads are renowned for corrosion. What should
I do?- specialist welding? / scrap all the heads? / Drill, tap and fit grub
screw without affecting water flow? Does it matter anyway??

BTW, car is a series three,in a damp Scottish garage, and needs another
decade of MIG welding before I even think of putting an engine back in.

cheers
