Battery Charger

Thanks for the great responses - I think I got the following advice.
Don't leave the battery in the car on permanent charge.
If you are going to put it on charge for the winter, take it out of the
car and charge it using a smart trickle charger that either senses
temperature or voltage. Alternatively, I could use a regular charger
and use a timer on it for a short charge everyday. Now, if I could only
rely on B.C.Hydro to maintain the power to the Island!!
