It all depends upon what your intentions and budget allows you.
The Zenith "Stromberg" carbs are good carbs, and offer excelent
fuel economy if reasonably well tuned. They also flow reasonbly
well on stock engines.
The Holbay head will actually decrease the performance of the engine
unless high compression pistons are also used as the Holbay head
has increased combustion chamber volume. Also you are going to
need a cam with some bite to make the whole ordeal worthwhile.

Anything can be made to function if you throw enough money and/or
time at it. The 10 degree tilt piece will absolutely NOT fit on the
59-68
Alpine due to steering box and firewall clearance.
The exhaust manifolds would prevent mounting it on even a RHD car,
not to mention the 10 degree downward angle that the carbs would
sit at.
I have heard of cutting the 10 degree piece and rewelding it with
10 degree wedges inserted to correct the angles.
Also new manifolds should be available.
>How much are a pair of new Zeniths worth? are they adequate for the

Perhaps $150-$300 USD each if they are trully new.
Stromberg made a lot of other Constant Depression Carbs, and as
far as the 150CD carbs are concerned, the Rootes/Chyrslor pieces are
rather rare with respect to all the other similar carbs used on other
British cars.
If they are correct models "150 CD without temperature compensation
model 3023/4 comes to mind" then they would be worth something to
somebody who is very original concious.
>Or should I rather buy everything from Holbay?
Got bucks?
