The WIA carbs use the "power valve", and are jetted more lean for better
fuel economy. The WIA was generally sold with the paper ellement air
cleaners. The power valve offers additional fuel when the engine is
under
significant load.

The WIP, is jetted richer across the load range, and sacrifices
efficiency
for power. The WIP came mostly with the wire mesh air cleaners.

The WIA will give better fuel milage when properly tuned.

As Bill Lewis said it, without the proper jets, the colourtune kit will
only
tell you that you are running rich or lean, and you will not be able to
do
anything about it.
