Temp sender unit

G'day Paul,

yes, it's dead. Mine went too and I replaced it with a second hand one. I
don't think my buggered one was up in the MEGA ohm region though. The
properly working unit will get down to some pretty low ohms, but you know
that because you down-loaded the stuff. I think the sender unit for the
late Aplines is I think the same as for the Minxes and etc. If SA has a
general british car store you should be able to pick one up there, I think
I paid $15 here. Take your old one along and try to match numbers, there's
stuff stamped on them, they were made by SMITHS so other LBCs may have the
same unit. Tkae your multimeter too, to check the resistance.

But if you can get your hands on a new one easily I'd buy it.
