RE: Trunnion and Swivel Pin Question

Specifically the bushing (part #44) has been pressed into the trunnion (part
#43). I now need to slide that assembly over the swivel pin (part #41). It
sounds like before I do that I need to ream out the bushing to the correct size.

Once again all part numbers refer to http://www.mindspring.com/~teae/pasm.htm

If I understand your statement correctly, it sounds like you need to
ream the new bushes to the size of the swivel pin to start.

The threaded bush must be pushed out the side of the splines on the
bush,
then re-installed on the opposite side for re-assesmbly. This is to
allow
the un-buggered metal to grab the new splines.

The lower control pin, threads into both the "trunnion link?" and the
lower
control arm at the same time. In this way, the lower link rides on
theads,
and not a bushing.

My english auto nomeclature is really rusty, but I have performed
the task that you speak of, I just cant understand exactly what your
question means in amerispeak.

I saw the refference at http://www.mindspring.com/~teae/pasm.htm,
and if you can relate your nomenclature as figure numbers, I may
be of more assistance.
