Howdy Everyone:
Now that I've gone and bought a Series V Alpine again, I am of course
experiencing the usual sorting out problems for which I could use some
help.
Here's a few items for your consideration:
My turn signal indicator (the green flasher on the dash) works fine.
That is, until I turn on the headlamps. The signals still work, the
flasher still flashes, but no green indicator light! I guess the simple
solution would be to turn off my headlights at night so I can enjoy the
green flashing light. For some reason, my wife Jane seems to dissaprove
of this so I guess I'll have to fix it.
The ignition (red) light on the dash doesn't work. I tested the bulb &
that's OK.
The illumination bulb for my speedometer won't work when it's in my
speedometer. It does light when I touch the bulb housing to other guages
or to some of the metal pieces under the dash. I am guessing that the
speedo isn't grounded. Maybe I need to run a ground wire from the speedo
bulb housing to a ground somewhere under the dash although this doesn't
seem like the right way to do it.
Any ideas on the above? Help will be greatly appreciated!
Finally, does anyone out there have an extra Jaeger/Smith's ammeter in
reasonable shape they want to sell? Let me know.
Thanks!!!!!!!
