From SAOC Alpine guide, page J4:- (see also WSM124 sec J pages 5-7)
Can be done in the car. If you dont have the special puller RG198, make one
from two 3in, 7/16unf bolts mounted in a thick steel plate, centres
1+15/16in apart. heads of these bolts grips on top of drop arm("swing
lever"), but bolt shafts need metal removing to fit over bulk of arm. With
drop arm nut half on / half off its thread (protecting thread), tightening
2 nuts uniformly will pull arm off: C clamping bolt heads together can help
