Dick T. did say that the first 120 BHP comes easy, but the next
20 BHP comes at a tremendous cost.
This is absoulutely true.
You do still have the option of going to the Holbay larger valves.
They are not brutally expensive, and should be usable with standard
or even slightly oversized seats.
Should net 10% beter breathing alone.
This would put costs into a much more reasonable perspective.
BTW, the math shows my monster valves net 41% reduction in
restriction on the exuast, and 37% reduction in restriction in the
intake, so the costs do have some significan payoff.
