The Alpine fastback "Rapier in drag" used the same engine with
a newer type head. The rootes literature for the time said that the
Alpine "GT" made 95 BHP, which is 2.5 BHP more than the SV 1725.
The main differences will be the inlet and exhaust manifolds and
the mounting.
Other than the fact that the motor is at an angle, I dont think there
is any reason why you would not want to keep the newer type motor.
