Definetely do it yourself. I agree with Sergio that getting some extra
instruction is a good idea. Best is if you can find a correctly installed one
around to look at, give it a try, go look again, make another try, and go look
again (at least that's what it took for me). It took me about a day and half of
it with the assistance of my spouse. I would not want to try it completely
alone. If your old top is still on, you may want to get the top frame cleaned,
mine was rusted under the canvas and I needed some minor restoration and
re-painting. If I'd left it to professionals, the $200 would have ballooned to
$500 or so.
