The Buick 3.8 (6 cyl version of the 305 chevy) is still in production in the US in various forms (supercharged, 4.1, 4.3 liter ect).
I think that Richard Athertons idea to put the 3500 Buick V8 (Rover) in the alpine is mo better yet. V8 power/noise, aluminum engine, great aftermarket support from US and UK, compact size ECT. Coupled with a bolt in TR8 5 speed tranny and oooohhh.
You are still working on your 3.5 V8 arent you Richard?
