Sixteen Alpines (yes, 16!) are entered in the Manx Classic on the Isle of Mann
on September 24-27 of this year. That is enough entries to have a class of
their own. 24 is the maximum allowed in a class, so there is room for 8 more
if any of you are interested. One of the entries is Carl Christiansen from
Incline Village/ Lake Tahoe.
So far as is known, this is the largest ever number of Alpines to compete in
one race.
