John Harris at Rootes Rochedale, here in Brisbane, keeps telling me I should use soluble oil. I never asked what he thinks I should mix it with but he reckons the alloy will never corrode if I use the oil.

The downside to soluble oil he says is that it causes the rubber hoses to deteriorate quickly. Consequently I continue to use green stuff. If you've ever had to change heater hoses in an Imp, you'll understand why.
