For a point of info, the flywheel on a 1725 cast-iron head Commer engine is HUGE. I kept it, rather than use an Alpine flywheel when I rebuilt my campers' engine. Figured with all that mass to move, I needed that torque! I don't think it would be quite as appropriate in an Alpine, however.

Also note, that in Finland, perhaps Commer or Hillman engine parts were easier to obtain than Alpine parts??
