I just got the Pertronix unit from Rick at Sunbeam Specialties for our S3. Installation was simple and clean. You have to reroute some of the wires, but I did so while maintaining the original terminals in case I have to convert back to points. I estimate I could switch back within 5-10 minutes if necessary. It solved a high-speed miss problem while also making the car easier to start. I can't speak for how reliable it might be, though...the instructions recommend keeping the original points, etc. handy in case the unit fails (!) ............................................................
