The Audi 4 cyl used in the water cooled VW apps above have the intake
on the right, and the exhaust on the left.
Very few years used carburetion, most that that did were on early Dodge
and Plymouth K cars that use the1.7 lean burn engine.
These engines are very durable, and there is substancial after market
support.
One problem here would be that this is a FWD engine.
