Your logic is correct, Paul, the slave should be mounted so the bleeder
is on top for the very reason you state. Don't waste your time with
the "one man bleeder," I have one and it doesn't work worth a damn.
The wife makes a great "bleeder," that's what I did.
Just a side note. I don't think the system can be bled properly
without the engine and clutch in place. There must be pressure against
the clutch fork in order to bleed correctly.
