I don't know but I may need to change the speedo head and or the gear in an
overdrive transmission to get an accurately indicated speed on the
speedometer.
Does anyone know what should be the tooth count of the gear in the tranny?
I guess it depends on the number on the speedo face which I understand
indicates the number of cable turns per mile. On my Jaeger speedo, at the
bottem of the speedo dial, at about 5 oclock, there is a tiny number: 1020.
Proper tranny tooth count anyone?
Does the differential ratio matter? If it does mine is 3.89 [please no slug
jokes from those who recall the spirited discussion on this list from Sept 97
on the proper ratio with an OD].
