Brakes

Okay, I have the electrical figured out. Now on to the brakes. A few weeks ago I was checking things out on the car and I pulled the hand brake and push on the brake pedal to see if it was solid or not. (First time pushed in 20 years.) Since that time, my rear brakes have been locked. When I pull on the hand brake, I dont notice any real change in the position of the lever on the rear of the brake drum. Any ideas how to release the brakes.
