I've got no heritage

Picked up the car last night - Series 5, "probably a 65".

The VIN plate has indeed been removed. CHP put a new plate inside the
driver's side door which has the # CA654633. The car has black plates # UXM
448. DMV says I have to surrender them because the car has no history or
title info. There MUST be a way to keep these?

Now the interesting part. The #'s on the engine are B006011513. I thought
they were all B9...? Under that on the right is LSX. On the left in
smaller stamping is P3.846 (not sure about the ".")
The car clearly ilooks like an S-V, but I'm not sure about that VIN # on the
motor.

Any info on what all this means about the history of this car would be
greatly appreciated.
