Tom,
Thanks for the speedy reply.

the "A" goes to the solenoid, but then there is another Brown wire from
the terminal, under the A. It appears to be hooked to the A.
I have a brown wire going to somewhere in the steering column. I thin
it is for the horn. This wire was fried long ago and when I replaced
part of it my car would run. Since last weeks incident, I discovered
that there is the "other" brown wire at "A" that is fried.

Thinking that these two brown wires may be the same I connected my ohm
meter to both ends. Before connecting the meter read "1". After
connecting, it read "0". I believe in my novice mind that mean this is
one wire. Is that correct.

I ran a wire from inside where I had it attached before to the A
terminal on the control box but nothing happened. Oh, before I started
all this I was checking the wires at the control box. When I wiggled
the fried wire, my ignition light came on, so I am sure this is the
culprit.

Now what, when I get nothing after connecting the two wires.
