The engine compartment of my SV has been the focus of my effort for the last
month plus and has been completely degreased and is now painted out with a
two part epoxy paint. I'd like to maintain it to or near this condition and
wonder how I can make oil changes less messy. One thought is to punch a hole
in the oil filter at suck the oil out of the filter (I have a oil change
vacuum "pump") allowing me to remove the empty filter and hopefully avoid
spilling oil all over the passenger side of the block and engine bay. Is
there any easier/cleaner way???
