Thanks Jarrid. I just got off the phone with Pertronix tech support and they
said that in a four cylinder application they recomend a 3.0 ohm resistor to
fight overheating at low RPMs. So I either need to throw a resistor in there
or pick up a a coil with a built in resistor.
A few more weeks of this and I may know enough about electricity to be able
to get all of the smoke back in my system so it works again. :)
