While I've had the wheels since the Feb. VB sale, I am just about to
retrofit bolt on hubs and tried on a loose front hub (not mounted on axle
yet) to confirm the fit. As others have found, the front hub shoulder
interferes and does not permit a perfect fit of the mating surfaces of the
hub and wheel. A 1/8" - 3/16" spacer would do the trick however that raises
a concern with giving up that same amount of space on the grip length of the
wheel studs. Then again, I'll be loosing 1/4" on the rear hub studs with the
Sunbeam Specialties wheel spacers I had planned to use. Should I be
concerned or do I need to have the wheels machined? (I'd rather not). Has
anyone else mounted up their new VB wheels yet? Fit problem or solutions?
